Fort Concho makes a wonderful location for that special event you might be planning. Several of the buildings at Fort Concho are available to rent for gatherings, weddings, receptions, parties, dinners, or meetings.

Officers' Quarters 1

Once home to the commanders of the post, Officers' Quarters 1 has been fully restored and adapted as guest quarters with the best of the 1870s and the 21st century.  Modern heating and cooling, three bedrooms, showers/bathrooms, full kitchen, dining room, small office, and parlor room.  OQ 1 can accommodate up to three couples for overnight lodging.
($100-1 couple, $125-2 couples, $150-3 couples & $100 deposit)

Officers' Quarters 8

Also a restored officers' quarters that can be rented for daytime and evening functions with two restrooms, full heating/cooling, kitchen, and space for receptions, parties, etc.  OQ 8 can accommodate 50-75 for a sit-down event and many more for a "come and go" reception.  The wooden floors are not suitable for dancing. The building comes with 8 eight foot folding tables and 75 folding chairs.  ($200 & $100 deposit)

Chapel/Schoolhouse

An original building with replica tables and benches, the Chapel/Schoolhouse has hosted weddings in the nineteenth, twentieth, and twenty-first centuries!  It has heat in the winter, no air conditioning beyond natural breezes through ample windows, and lacks restroom facilities.  Available between frequent educational and interpretive programs, it is a good place for a small wedding.  The Chapel/Schoolhouse can hold forty people.  ($100 & $50 deposit)

Commissary

One of the two oldest original buildings in the county, the Commissary has been restored as a large meeting hall with restrooms and a functional kitchen.  Fully equipped with heat and air conditioning.  Tables and chairs are available for up to 150; and additional seating can be arranged for up to 175-250.  The Commissary is suitable for dancing. The building comes with 18 eight foot folding tables and 150 folding chairs.  ($400 & $200 deposit)

Quartermaster

Adjacent to the Commissary, the Quartermaster is the other oldest building in the county.  The Quartermaster has the seating capacity of the Commissary but lacks kitchen space and has a slightly different interior with a loft on one end.  As the Quartermaster is a exhibit area for Fort Concho, it is not always available for rental.  The brick floors are not suitable for dancing.  The building comes with 18 eight foot folding tables and 150 folding chairs.  ($300 & $150 deposit)

Stables

The historic Stables Block at Fort Concho is the largest space for rent with a seating capacity of 350-600 people depending on the event and its requirements.  A large built-in stage sits at the far end of the hall.  The Stables is not air conditioned beyond natural breezes through open doors.  There are new restrooms and heating.  This is a wonderful venue for large dinners, dances and parties.  The building comes with 50 eight foot folding tables and 300 folding chairs.  ($600 & $300 deposit)

Barracks 6

Similar in size to the Quartermaster or Commissary, Barracks 6 has a more "rustic" or "authentic" feel to it, with its concrete floor and lower ceiling.  The building can accommodate 100-125 guests for a sit-down dinner or event.  It is fully heated and air-conditioned.  Restrooms are located in the courtyard behind the building.  The building comes with 15 eight foot folding tables and 125 folding chairs.  ($150 & $75 deposit)

Courtyard

This grassy area between the Messhalls of Barracks 5 and 6 can be used for outdoor venues.  The courtyard can accommodate between 300 - 500 people depending on the type of event and its requirements.  Restrooms are available.  The area comes with 10 eight foot folding tables and 20 benches.  ($150 & $75 deposit)

All event caterers must be from the City of San Angelo's approved list.

Insurance Requirements          Liquor Policy

All Fort Concho rental facilities can be inspected during business hours, Monday-Saturday 9 AM - 5 PM and Sunday 1 PM - 5 PM. Please contact us to make sure the building is not being rented that particular day before you come for an inspection.  A deposit is required to reserve a building.
