Powder Magazine

The Powder Magazine is a simple structure 10'4" X 10'4".  Built in 1869,
it has been relocated from its original site several blocks from the main quadrangle.  This placement outside the fort confines at the northeast corner was such that, should an explosion occur, fort personnel would not be harmed.  Today the building has been relocated and reconstructed adjacent to
Barracks 6.  It is currently being used for storage.
