Officers'
Quarters 9
Construction on Officers' Quarters 9 commenced in 1871 and was evidently completed in 1872. The building plan and form is very similar to Officers' Quarters 8 and the original Officers' Quarters 1 which served as the Commanding Officer's Quarters until 1889. Officers' Quarters 9 was the last building on officers' row and served as home for various company officers during the fort occupation.
The Fort Concho Museum Board acquired the property in 1964 and deeded it to the City of San Angelo in 1966. Restoration of the Building was completed in 1981, and it now serves as an office for the Fort Concho Education Director. .
