Quarters 6
Officer's Quarters 6 was completed prior to March 1, 1870, and was identical to Officers' Quarters 2,4, and 5. Captain George A. Armes, 10th Cavalry, was under house arrest in this house several months in 1881.
After abandonment in 1889, it became a private dwelling. Later it was a rooming house. A fire in 1961 destroyed the second floor and the staircase. The City of San Angelo bought the property in 1970 and began restoration.
