San Angelo West Rotary Presents a Christmas Barn Raising ~ Red Steagall returns to Fort Concho. Join us for an evening of fine entertainment and good food. Dinner catered by Kenny Blanek. Thursday night at 6:30p.m. Benefits the Living History Education programs and the charities of San Angelo West Rotary.

Santa’s Workshop ~ Children ages 5 to 11 will enjoy a fun filled workshop making various holiday crafts just perfect for gift giving. Refreshments are provided. There will be two sessions on Saturday which start promptly at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Cowboy Concert ~ Join Paul Davidson and friends inside the Fort Concho Stables this year. Enjoy some of the best cowboy entertainers around.

Pancakes with Santa ~ Bring the whole family to have breakfast
with Santa on Saturday morning! Hosted by the San Angelo Lions Club.  In the Stables from 7:30 - 10:30 a.m.

Boot Camp ~ Enlist as a soldier of the past! Learn to march and drill, sample soldiers' rations and take home a souvenir of the past. Two sessions will be held on Saturday: one for children ages 5 to 8 at 10:30 a.m. and one for children 9 to 12 at 3:30 p.m. refreshments are provided. Space is limited for this activity.
$10.00 PER CHILD IN MESS HALL 5

Miss Birdie's Tea Party ~ Girls ages 5 to 11 are invited to Miss Birdie's Very Texas Tea Party. This event will include lunch and hands on craft making. Casual attire is acceptable. There will be two sessions on Saturday: one at 10:30 a.m. and one at 1:00 p.m. Space is limited for this activity.
$10.00 PER CHILD IN OFFICERS' QUARTERS 2.

Indian Lore ~ Come learn about Indian lore, visit Chief Broken Eagle and make Indian crafts to take home. Refreshments are provided. Two sessions will be held on Saturday: one for children ages 9 to 12 at 12:00 noon and one for children 5 to 8 at 2:00 p.m. Space is limited for this activity.
$7.50 PER CHILD IN THE INDIAN VILLAGE.

Chuch Wagon Cooking ~ Sign up to learn traditional chuck wagon style cooking with Award-winning cooks in the Wells Fargo Chuck Wagon Camp. Make dutch oven biscuits or cornbread and fried pies or cobbler. The two hour classes will start at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Saturday. Space is limited for this activity.
$25.00 PER PERSON AT THE CHUCK WAGON CAMP ON THE PARADE GROUND. (includes grounds admission)

Chuck Wagon Camp ~ Dorothy Douthit and Award-winning cooks seen on the Food Network will cook an authentic meals for you at the Wells Fargo Chuck Wagon Camp. Dine on a Cowboy Chili Supper on Friday and Chuck Wagon Dinner of chicken fried steak on Saturday with all the trimmings. Entertainment free with each meal. Buy tickets early to reserve a spot!

Quilters' Loft ~ Join your friends in the Quartermaster Loft to make a pincushion from a cookie cutter that could also be a Christmas tree decoration. Ages 5-12 are welcome 'round the rocker for a story and crafting fun. Refreashments are provided. Three sessions will be held on Saturday: 10:30 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
$7.50 PER CHILD IN THE QUARTERMASTER BUILDING

Cowboy Breakfast ~ Breakfast will once again be served on the Parade field. The cooks in the Wells Fargo Chuck Wagon Camp will have a cowboy breakfast ready at 9:00 a.m. Sunday before the FREE Cowboy Church Service

Sit or Swing-Old Hat Band ~ Tom Thornton and the Old Hat Band will be on hand to swing you into the Christmas spirit Saturday night. Come for a great time! A cash bar will be available.
$5.00 IN THE FORT CONCHO STABLES AT 8:00 P.M. SATURDAY

Cowboy Courtyard ~ Take a break and sit a spell in the courtyard between Barracks 5 & 6. Free entertainment with a western flair featuring cowboy music, stories, and poetry.

Winter Rendezvous ~ Enjoy the living history experience. Re-enactors bring to life soldiers and civilians of the fort era. Visit with the cavalry, infantry, artillery, Buffalo Soldiers and ladies of the post; listen to music of the period, shop in the sutlers’ camps and observe traditional Native American lifestyles.

Gingerbread House Contest ~ Holiday fun portrayed in gingerbread showcased in the Post Hospital. Come see Christmas Carols depicted in frosting! See the contest winners!

Christmas Cookie Contest ~ Back for an encore, decorated Christmas cookies will once again be joining the fanciful gingerbread houses in the Post Hospital! A must see!

Cowboy Church Service ~ Enjoy an old fashioned church service with singing and preaching. Sunday, December 9 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chuck Wagon Camp.

Children's Area ~ Children of all ages are invited to make crafts, hear a story and generally have a good time in our free Children’s Area in the Quartermaster building. Outside the station is the Rebar Ranch Corral where children 4 to 10 can join Cowboy Brad around the campfire for roping lessons, cowboy crafts, stick pony rides and games. Parents are requested to stay and enjoy the fun with their children.

Christmas shopping in the historic fort buildings ~ The magic of Christmas is brought to you by merchants and artisans from around the state and nation. Browse through Officers’ Row, the Commissary and the Barracks for unique gift ideas.

Chapel ~ The old fashioned sound of Christmas brought to you by area church choirs and school entertainers.

Entertainment Area ~ Come in, sit down, and enjoy the talents of local entertainers in the Arc Light Saloon entertainment area in Barracks 1.

Special Exhibit: The Founding of Fort Concho & Christmas at Fort Concho ~ Help us celebrate 140 years of history at Fort Concho with one exhibit about the fort's beginning and another about Christmases past! In the Quartermaster Building.
